QUALITY & Testing

At Spring Supports Mfg. Co., quality is an integral part of every stage of production, ensuring that each product meets the demanding requirements of industrial applications while ensuring safety, reliability, and long-term performance.
We follow a systematic quality control process starting from raw material inspection through in-process checks to final testing with the help of various calibrated testing machines. Each component is verified to ensure conformity with design specifications, dimensional accuracy, and structural integrity.
Special emphasis is placed on load testing and calibration of spring supports to ensure accurate load-deflection characteristics and reliable performance under operating conditions. This ensures that the supports function as intended within the piping system throughout their service life.
All inspection and testing activities are carried out in accordance with applicable standards and are supported by proper documentation, ensuring traceability and consistency across every order.

Testing Stages

01

Incoming Raw Material Inspection

All incoming spring steel, structural sections, and fasteners are inspected against mill certificates. Hardness, tensile strength, and dimensional checks are performed before material is released to production.

In-Process Quality Checks

Roving inspectors conduct dimensional verification at each production stage — coiling, heat treatment, machining, and fabrication — using calibrated gauges and CMM equipment.

Load Calibration & Spring Rate Verification

Each spring assembly is tested on a calibrated load-testing bench. Spring rate, installed load, and cold-load values are verified against design drawings before acceptance.

Travel Indicator & Movement Check

Variable spring supports undergo travel range verification. Locking pins, travel indicators, and indicator positions are confirmed per project-specific data sheets.

05

Final Inspection & Certification

A QC engineer performs a complete dimensional, visual, and functional check. Approved units receive a unique serial number and are accompanied by a test certificate and Mill Test Report (MTR).

06

Third-Party & Client Witness Inspection

On-demand third-party inspection by TPIA agencies (Bureau Veritas, Lloyd's, SGS, etc.) is accommodated. Client witness inspections can be arranged at our facility for critical orders.

Zero-Defect Dispatch Policy

No unit is released to packaging without a QC sign-off. Non-conforming products are segregated and raised as NCRs.
